On Saturday 22nd June 2024, some of the team visited the dwelling of Ma Conteh, an elderly woman who is part of the Lakka community.

Lakka, situated on the West Coast of Sierra Leone, south of Freetown, was the first community to benefit from the generous donations we received to help others.

During our recent Qurbani Project at Lakka, it was brought to our attention that Grandma Conteh had been struggling when it rained because her dwelling was not watertight, so the team returned on Saturday to investigate further. Her current dwelling was not fit for purpose, with dilapidated walls and a dirty, soggy mattress on the floor.

Through your support, construction of Ya N'Mah Conteh's dwelling home began on the 15th July, 2024  and is now complete. The project coordinator, Mr Mohamed Bangura, has been in charge of the supervision and procurement for the construction.
